Training Day - Sunday 10th May

On Sunday 10th May the team mobilised from the base at the Derry Bothy with equipment for a crag rescue on Coire na Saobhaidh. Just a training day though so team members practiced building anchors using the rocks above the crag before practicing lowers and raises down the crag. This type of training allows the guys to brush up on rigging, positioning and radio skills as well as share the latest mountain rescue techniques from team members who have recently been on courses. ‘Luckily’ the weather was very misty which was ideal for training!
