Team Training Weekend

Saturday 27th June

A driech day’s training for the team on Saturday as those keen to brave the forecast headed out for a day’s training in Glen Ey.

The goal of the day was familiarisation of a section of our patch which we don’t frequent that often along with a bit of Navigation practice.  Team members completed a circuit of Beinn Lutharn Mor, Beinn Lutharn Beag and An Socach in, at times, very wet and windy conditions – perfect training for the average call out and a good opportunity for some nav practice.

The day was nicely rounded off by drying ourselves out in “The Bothy”, Braemar, with Tea, coffee and cake.

Fortunately the rain and wind relented by the time we’d returned to the Team’s Derry Bothy for the evening where team members spent the night before an early morning call-out brought a premature end to training for the weekend.
