Sponsored Walks
Every Year a sponsored walk is held to raise money for Aberdeen Mountain Rescue Team. This event is widely embraced by the local community as a way of funding a voluntary organisation which benefits the public.
The sponsored walk is our biggest annual fundraiser and we really appreciate the support we get from you all.
AMRT's 2022 sponsored walk will take place on Saturday 11th June. This is our 50th Anniversary Walk (which should have taken place in 2020). We do encourage you to take the bus as parking at the Spittal of Muick is restricted and there is a charge. Families are welcolme however, please bear in mind that the route is approx 25km in length and has a few steep sections. The whole route will be marshalled by members of the Team.
The details for the sponsored walk this year,
- Spittal of Muick start and finish.
- Usual Bus route from Aberdeen along North Deeside with pick ups enroute (options on entry form).
- £5 for the bus
- Fine 'piece' and 'cuppa' at the end of the walk.
- Minimum Sponsorship £40
For more details, please contact treasurer@amrt.org.uk or secretary@amrt.org.uk or see our social media posts. We do hope you will be able to join us, your support is much appreciated and we are sure you will have a very enjoyable day out.
